Rudeness in Neuenberg

The Swiss living in Neuenberg value their privacy a lot and do not like being disturbed by sudden, annoying noises.  It is considered a rudeness to talk too loudly on the street, while queuing or while on a public transport vehicle, be it with someone else or on a cellphone.

Tardiness in Neuenberg

Punctuality is not absolute in Neuenberg.  A person can be late, depending on the circumstances.  In a social situation, it is acceptable to be late for 15 minutes due to traffic or any unforeseen circumstances, but beyond that is considered rude.  In business situations, it is all right to be late for five minutes in the face of unforeseen circumstances, unless meeting with a client.
